There is a possibility that your pup has a chicken allergy, and the fact that it is not advertised where people can see, it could cause a problem and an urgent visit to the vet. It is likely that the chicken meal is added as a cheaper addition than the salmon meal, so that it can reach its high protein content for a cheaper price. This is not uncommon to be found in protein alternatives like fish, lamb, and venison.
