Pet Supplies Plus Debuts Healthier Ingredients For Dogs And Puppies

Livonia-based Pet Supplies Plus, which has 390 locations in 29 states, is adding a new line to its Redford Naturals portfolio of dry dog food Limited Ingredient Diet formulas.

The line includes flavors such as chicken, lamb, duck, and salmon mixed with sweet potato, with specific meals packed specially for puppies and large-breed dogs. The recipes are grain-free and refined for pets that perform better on a regulated diet because of food allergies or digestion difficulties.

Redford Naturalsâ recipes are crafted to provide balanced formulas that use real meat as the number one ingredient and include ingredients that are free from corn, soy, wheat, and artificial preservatives, colors, and flavors.

The new LID line is also protein rich, but differs from Redford Naturalsâ Grain-Free and Natural formulas by using a single animal protein as the first ingredient, which is combined with sweet potatoes to help combat a petâs enhanced sensitivity to certain foods.

Pet Supplies Plus Expands Offerings To Include Prescription Products

In an effort to focus on convenience, the US retailer now offers prescription pet medications and food.

Pet Supplies Plus will offer Hill’s Prescription Diet, Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets, flea and tick treatments, heartworm medications and more, with brand name and generic prescription options available.

“Our team which is filled with animal lovers understands firsthand how pets truly become a member of each family. Providing online ordering of prescription medications and food is just another way we’re enhancing our offerings for each and every pet,” said Chris Rowland, CEO of Pet Supplies Plus.

Prescription orders placed online through Pet Supplies Plus are routed to the pet’s veterinarian for electronic processing through Vetsource.

All online orders are handpicked by a team member at your local store and delivered from that store by a Pet Supplies Plus driver or local delivery partner. You qualify for delivery if you live within 7 miles of a stores location. Order by 1 p.m to receive same-day delivery by 8 p.m. if you order after 1 p.m, your order will be delivered the next day by 8 p.m.

LIVONIA, MICH. Pet retailer Pet Supplies Plus launched its private label pet food brand, OptimPlus, on June 20, expanding its private brand offerings. The OptimPlus brand includes diets specifically formulated based on a pets size, life stage, and health and dietary needs.

Based on everything we have found , Pet Supplies Plus will actually be closed on Thanksgiving Day . This means there will be no spontaneous trips for dog food, dog toys, or anything else you might be searching for.
