Expensive And Goes Bad Too Fast

One of my dogs has very sensitive stomach so I was exploring other food options and trying to find something that would help him out. Our veternarian recommended that I buy something that was fresher and made with more natural ingredients and real meats in it. I bought this to try it out and I was kind of shocked by the price of it, this is a very expensive food for the little bit that you get with it. I bought it anyways because I have a small dog who does not eat much so I wanted him to feel better. After opening it he enjoyed eating it and it did help somewhat with his stomach problems, he was not throwing it up anymore and acted like he felt a bit better. The worst part about this is after two days of having this opened it was already going bad and started to smell very foul and not look right. Unfortunately it does not last long after you open it so unless you are going to use it all really fast it is far too expensive to buy for regular use.

I love these natural balance dog food rolls for training my dog and as a treat added to his regular food. My dog is on grain free kibble because it’s so much healthier for him then the dog foods full of corn and wheat and all kinds of things dogs don’t like. Has Natural Balance Ever Been Recalled

Yes. There have been a few Natural Balance recalls over the years.

In May 2021, a single best by date of Natural Balance L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets Green Pea & Chicken Formula dry cat food was recalled because of the potential for salmonella contamination.

In , one lot of Natural Balance Ultra Premium Chicken & Liver Paté Formula canned cat food was found to contain possible elevated levels of choline chloride, which could be dangerous or even fatal if fed to cats. In announcing the recall, the company said it had already received reports of adverse reactions in pets.

In May 2012 and, the brand experienced recalls because of potential salmonella contamination. In 2012, the recall was part of a wider recall of various brands that had been manufactured at a Diamond Pet Foods facility. Both the 2012 and 2010 Natural Balance recalls involved only dry dog foods.

Back in , a few Natural Balance Eatables canned dog foods were recalled because botulinum, the toxin that causes botulism, had been found in a human food manufactured in the same Castleberrys Food Company plant. We believe we have isolated the issue to a situation of under-processing on one line of our production facility, said a Castleberrys official, who noted, We have shut down this line altogether and are recalling all products produced on it.
